How often can I write the GRE Computer base test and Home Edition?

As earlier explained, the Home Edition is the same value as the testing center edition, the only difference is you are writing one at home monitored by an online proctor and another one at a testing center. You can write the GRE computer base test not more than 5 times in a year and you have a space of 21 days in between your last exam before you can write another one. What is the Average pass mark or Score for the GRE Exam?

Depending on individual universities and their requirement. Some institution requires a minimum score of 300 and above on the GRE Exam while other institution like some ivy-league school will require a minimum of 310 and above. Some institution only focuses on the Quantitative while some do a cumulative total score. I will advise before you write the exam check with your institution their requirement. It will give you an idea of how well you should also prepare for the exam.

How soon will the GRE test score become available after testing?

The GRE test score is available approximately between 10 and 15 days from the day you took the test. Usually, it is calculated on days and not on working days. From experience, the result is usually available online 8 days after writing the examination. If your result is not available online on the 8 days. You can wait till the 10day if nothing happens. I will advise you to contact ETS to ask why your result is not yet available online. In some cases, they might have reason to investigate your score with their office of testing integrity OTI department. What is the difference between GRE General Test and GRE Subject Test?

The GRE general test is not related to any specific field of study and these are skills that you have developed over a period of time. It is called the general test because it has no specific skills it focuses on while writing the exam.

The GRE Subject test measures your skill in a particular field of study for example physics. It checks your deep knowledge of this particular subject and how you are able to solve complex problems within this particular subject.

What is the difference between the GRE Home Edition and GRE at Testing Centre?

The home edition is safe and convenient and it is the same experience as the testing Centre. The only difference is that while you have to travel some distance to write the exam at a testing center especially if the center is not near you, the GRE Home Edition safe you the stress of having to travel, you just stay in the comfort of your home and write the exam. To write the GRE Home edition, you will need good internet and a Desktop/Laptop with a good webcam. Once you log in to start the exam, the proctor assists you all the way to get started with the exam. Please note that you will be needing a computer with Window 10 running on it.
